Below I have briefly outlined some of the recent cases that I have seen in clinic.

 

Molluscum Contagiosum:

 

A 5 year old girl had a nasty outbreak of molluscum that was causing her problems as they were uncomfortable and bleeding.  They had been there for a few months at the time I met with mum.

There was also a big problem with separation anxiety as she had just started school and was experiencing severe distress every morning, refusing to get ready, refusing to get in the car and then screaming, crying and clinging on arrival in the classroom.

With a history of excessive mucus, asthma, recurrent chesty coughs and vomiting at least emotional upset or physical illness the prescription of pulsatilla was easily arrived at.

To mum's utter suprise and delight 1 month later the molluscum had cleared and this previously very unhappy little soul was finding school much less traumatic.

 

 

 

This is the case of a 3 year old boy with attention and behaviour issues.  When I first met him in the consulting room, he could not keep still.  He would climb anything that could be climbed, was in to everything and anything he could get his hands on and was in constant demand for his mums attention.

A careful case history revealed amongst other things an incredible thirst for milk, an absolute love of music and dancing, destructive behaviour in the home, breaking toys etc, he was very strong willed and obstinate, disobedient and constantly on the move.

Tarentula Hispanica brought a much calmer child to the consulting room the next time.  His thirst for milk has diminished since treatment began and he is now able to sit and focus on tasks calmly.  The nursery have noticed a huge difference in his behaviour.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

15 year old boy with ulcerative colitis and parasitic infection as shown on photographs following an endoscopy to establish the cause of the extreme diarrhoea and weight loss.

This was a longer term case requiring treatment for a number of underlying psychological issues.  After a couple of years of treatment the endoscopy was repeated and to the confusion of the Consultant the ulceration had cleared as had the parasitic infection.

The Consultant's words to the family were, "In all my years I have never seen this happen before.  Ulcerative Colitis is a degenerative bowel disease for which there is no known cure.  I can assure you that he definitely had Ulcerative Colitis as I have checked back through the scans, but I can also assure you that he no longer has Ulcerative Colitis".

The mother told him about the homeopathic programme that her son had been on and the Consultant was "very interested".

 

 

 

A 2 year old girl was 3 months away from a tonsillectomy due to recurring tonsilitis and permanantly enlarged tonsils.

Her condition meant that she had not been weaned onto solids but was still on milk and "mushy" baby foods.  Any solid food would cause her to gag, choke and vomit.

After taking a careful case history the remedy that was given was tuberculinum and the issues just stopped.

She still has her tonsils a number of years on and had no further problem moving on to solid food.

 

 

 

Within a few months of giving birth to her second child, this lady went into a very severe anxiety based depression.  For a number of months she sought help from the medical profession but felt that she was getting worse.

At this stage there were suicidal thoughts present and her husband contacted me to ask if I would be able to see her.

She was unable to make any decisions at all, couldn't look at her baby as she felt she would harm him, didn't want to go on with life as the future was so bleak and was so dependant on her husband that he was unable to go to work and leave her.

Aurum was given at this appointment with miraculous effect.  Other remedies were subsequently needed as her emotional state changed but she was very soon able to function again and her husband was able to return to work.

 

 

 

 

 

The above cases are shared to demonstrate the huge scope of homeopathy and any remedies discussed should not be assumed to be specific to the dis-ease, as the treatment in each case was on a holistic basis, the remedy being chosen after an extensive case history had been taken and considered.
